Winterizing your Home 

Below is a list of what is done in a normal situation:

• Shut off water pump and heater breakers
• Drain all pressure from system
• Connect drain hose @ water heater and open drain
• Connect compressor to psi tank and begin pressurizing system w/air
• While water heater is draining make a complete round of house opening all faucets until most of water is out
• Don’t forget hose bibs, washers and dishwashers
• After water heater is empty make 2 more rounds of entire house including hose bibs and washers
• Don’t forget spray hoses on kitchen sinks and whirlpools
• Release all pressure and disconnect well line and drain
• Reconnect!!!!! to avoid floods in spring
• Plunger all toilets to drain add antifreeze.
• Anti freeze all traps.
• Antifreeze washer and dishwasher being sure to pump out to mix and protect drain.
